home in lodi

I am currently logged in up at my parents house. Katy and I had a good drive up to Half Moon Bay yesterday, stopping in SLO for her court appearance, and then continuing on. The look on Joe's face was priceless when he saw us all standing there in the kitchen of Dale's house last night. That was a cool party, and we met some very cool people. Dale is a one of a kind guy, and I understand now how Katy and Joe can be such good friends with him. Someone I hope to be able to be friends with in the future also.
This morning was on into Lodi. The traffic here was miserable, I am glad to have a rest tonight before the long drive home tomorrow. It is really nice to have dinner with my parents. Katy might be coming over later to jump in the spa, that would be cool, otherwise its gonna be a nice relaxing night for me. I was hoping that my friend here would return my call so I could see him before we leave, but I am not so sure that will happen.
I also read a very very good book on Friday, called The Four Agreements. It will eventually change my life. It already has in a way, because I am starting to see things in a new light, and understand things in a very common sense attitude that makes a lot of sense. I have only read it once, but I have started to make notes, so when I can pinpoint the insights that speak to me the most, I will surely start writing them down.
I will say that it was such a positive influence that I walked around SLO with a nice smile on my face, and everyone reacted to that smile and was friendly to me. That was a very cool thing. I know I have a lot of fear in me, but I am learning that you get what you give, and the nicer I am to people, the nicer (usually) they are to me. What a cool concept.
Thats it for now I think, the couch is calling my name. :)
